We believe understanding your finances shouldn't feel complicated, and neither should working with your accountant. Our mission is simple: give you the clarity to know exactly what's going on, the confidence to make good decisions, and a team that's genuinely in your corner.
Our Story
Murray Accounting & Tax was founded by Rosa Murray, who has spent more than two decades working in tax and around half of that time running her own business. Her experience as both an accountant and business owner gives her a genuine understanding of the decisions, pressures and responsibilities her clients face.
That experience shaped the firm’s approach: small, personal and genuinely interested in the people it supports.
Today, Murray Accounting & Tax remains a close-knit team based in Ardross, Perth. Rosa, Claire and Huelya bring more than 60 years of combined experience and have intentionally kept the firm small so clients always know who they are speaking with — and the team knows their business too.
The firm works closely with established businesses, medical professionals and SMSF clients. Every relationship begins with understanding the client, looking ahead and making sure they have genuine clarity around their finances throughout the year — not only at tax time.

Rosa Murray
Founder, Chartered Accountant
I'm Rosa, and I've spent over two decades working as a tax accountant, about half of that as a business owner myself. So when I say I understand what it's like to be on your side of the table, I mean it.
I started Murray Accounting & Tax because I believed there was a better way to do this, more human, more honest, and a lot less like every other accounting firm you've ever walked into. Over the years I've built a deep specialisation in medical professionals, born out of close family ties to the medical world and a genuine love for the complexity that comes with it.
When I'm not balancing your books, I'm spending time with my husband, my two kids, and Lennie, our cat, who is absolutely convinced he runs the household.
I'm a proud mum, a tax nerd, and someone who genuinely cares about where my clients are headed.
Claire Bailey
Senior Accountant, Chartered Accountant
I'm Claire, a Chartered Accountant with a career spanning audit, commerce and, more recently, tax accounting. I have a particular interest in small business accounting, payroll, compliance and all things Xero.
Outside of work, I'm kept busy by my husband, two teenagers (send help!), our cavoodle, and a sporting calendar that revolves heavily around weekend fixtures and the emotional rollercoaster of supporting the Fremantle Dockers.
My likes include binge-watching Netflix, sour lollies, and avoiding school WhatsApp groups.
Huelya Lusser
Senior Accountant and SMSF Specialist
I'm Huelya. After growing up in Liechtenstein and working as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor there and in Switzerland, I moved to Perth and never regretted it.
Being part of Murray Accounting & Tax for years now, I love working in a small firm, where the close-knit environment lets me build strong relationships with clients and provide truly personalised service. I specialise in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs), helping clients navigate the complexities of super compliance and administration.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, and love travelling back to Europe to visit family and friends in my old homeland.
